Latent AI builds software for running AI models on edge devices instead of in the cloud. Their SDK, LEIP (Latent AI Efficient Inference Platform), covers the design, optimization, and deployment steps for getting models onto constrained hardware. Other products include Latent Agent, the Latent Field Tactical Suite for drone operations, and Latent Linguist for offline speech and text translation.
A lot of the work is defense-oriented, with the US Army (Project Linchpin), US Navy (Project AMMO), and US Air Force as named customers. The pitch is running models in disconnected or GPS-denied environments where cloud inference isn't an option.
Co-founded by Jags Kandasamy (CEO) and Sek Chai (CTO). Investors include Booz Allen, SRI International, Future Ventures, Alpha Intelligence Capital, and Audere.
