Vonage is a global cloud communications company, now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ericsson following its acquisition in July 2022. Headquartered in Holmdel, New Jersey, Vonage provides communications APIs, unified communications (UCaaS), and contact center (CCaaS) solutions for businesses of all sizes.
The Vonage API Platform offers programmable APIs for voice, SMS, messaging (including WhatsApp and RCS), video, and verification/two-factor authentication. Developers can integrate these capabilities using server SDKs available for Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, Ruby, .NET, Go, and Kotlin, as well as client SDKs for iOS, Android, and JavaScript.
Originally founded in 2001 as a consumer VoIP provider, Vonage transformed into an enterprise cloud communications leader through strategic acquisitions including Nexmo (2016), TokBox (2018), and NewVoiceMedia (2018). Vonage operates globally with offices across the United States, Europe, Israel, and Asia.
