The Sui Foundation is an independent organization supporting the Sui ecosystem, a Layer 1 blockchain built around the Move smart contract language and Mysticeti DAG-based consensus. Its stated mission is to "move billions of users onchain through the global adoption of Sui."
Sui is more than the base chain. The stack includes Walrus for data storage, Seal for encrypted access control, Nautilus for offchain verifiable compute, SuiNS for naming, zkLogin and Passkey auth, and DeepBook for programmable liquidity. Companies building on Sui include Google, OKX, Fireblocks, Franklin Templeton, and Ethena. Target areas span institutions and capital markets, DeFi, gaming, AI, and Bitcoin DeFi.
The Foundation runs a 100% remote, global team. It funds and activates builders through programs like Moonshots, which offers up to $500K in incentives for DeFi products on Sui.
