Founded in 2017 by Jacob Eiting and Miguel Carranza, the company emerged from Y Combinator (S18) to solve the complexity of implementing and managing in-app purchases across Apple, Google, Stripe, Amazon, Roku, and the web. RevenueCat's SDK and API handle receipt validation, subscription status tracking, and cross-platform entitlement management.
