Ostrom is a digital electricity provider in Germany, headquartered in Berlin and named after economist Elinor Ostrom. Tariffs are sold direct to households on month-to-month terms, with a fixed 12-month option and a SimplyDynamic plan that prices electricity hourly for customers with a smart meter.
The product extends past billing. The Ostrom app handles consumption tracking, EV charging, heat pump control, and solar/battery management, and the NeoGrid AI virtual power plant aggregates connected EVs. Integrations cover 1,400+ devices and 46 EV models, with smart-meter rollout running through 30+ German distribution networks.
