Okta is an identity and access management company. Two platforms: the Okta Platform covers workforce and AI agent identity (single sign-on, adaptive MFA, API access management, identity governance, lifecycle management, privileged access), and the Auth0 Platform covers customer identity for developers.
Customers include McLaren Racing, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Hitachi, Takeda, Mars, FedEx, and Box. Wyndham runs 100 million users on the platform; Hitachi authenticates roughly 480,000 users across 1,500 applications; FedEx has 250+ apps integrated.
Founded 2009 by Todd McKinnon and Frederic Kerrest. Public company headquartered in San Francisco, with offices across 15 countries. Stated vision is to "free everyone to safely use any technology."
