Neko Health is a Swedish health-tech company co-founded in 2018 by Hjalmar Nilsonne and Daniel Ek (co-founder of Spotify). Their mission is to make healthcare proactive instead of reactive, so people can live longer, healthier lives. After four years of research and product development, Neko launched its first health center in Stockholm in 2023 and has since expanded to London, Manchester, Birmingham, Berlin, and New York City.
Neko has developed a proprietary medical scanning technology that performs a non-invasive full-body health check in around 10 minutes, using over 70 sensors to collect millions of data points. Combined with AI-powered analysis and in-person consultations, the scan enables early detection of conditions including cardiovascular disease, skin cancer, diabetes, and other metabolic syndromes.
The company raised a $260M Series B in January 2025 at a $1.8B valuation, backed by investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners and General Catalyst. Neko's team spans doctors, researchers, engineers, and operations professionals across Europe and the US.
