Materialize is a streaming database that turns siloed data into live context using SQL. It ingests from databases, ERPs, CRMs, and similar systems, then maintains live data products via an incremental computation engine.
Used by Neo Financial, Mercari, General Mills, PrizePicks, Fubo, and Ryder among others. Reported customer outcomes include an 80% cost reduction on Neo Financial's online feature store and 50ms feature lookups across three data sources at SuperScript.
Founded January 2019 by Arjun Narayan and Frank McSherry. $100M raised across Series A through C from Lightspeed, Kleiner Perkins, and Redpoint. Built on Timely Dataflow and Differential Dataflow, open source frameworks created by McSherry at Microsoft Research. Cloud platform launched October 2022.
