Founded in 2012 by Andrew Bialecki and Ed Hallen. Headquartered in Boston with around 2,000 employees worldwide. Serves 193,000+ paying brands across 80+ countries.

The platform processes 2.5 billion events and 1.6 billion API calls a day across 7.3 billion customer profiles. The name comes from "clavija," a Spanish mountaineering term.
