Hotjar is a website and product behavior analytics tool. Heatmaps, session recordings, surveys, and feedback widgets show how visitors actually use a site. Used on 1.3+ million websites and apps across 180+ countries, with customers including HubSpot, HelloFresh, Nintendo, Adobe, T-Mobile, and Microsoft.

Started in 2014 as a people-first, self-funded, fully-distributed company. Ran independently for seven years, almost all of them profitable, before joining Contentsquare. Now part of the Contentsquare group alongside Heap.

Still operates as a fully-distributed team, no single headquarters.
