CodePath is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit running free technical courses, career support, and employer connections for college students, with a focus on first-generation and low-income students. Founded in 2017 by Michael Ellison, Nathan Esquenazi, and Tim Lee. Their stated mission is to "reprogram higher education to create the first AI-native generation of engineers, CTOs, and founders."
The model is three-sided: students get free training and career services, colleges get curriculum to plug into their CS programs, and employers get a talent pipeline. 40,000+ students and alumni across 1,100+ colleges, with 35,000+ currently enrolled and 73% identifying as low-income or underserved.
