Home to Anchorage Digital Bank, the first federally chartered crypto bank in the U.S. (chartered January 2021). Also operates Anchorage Digital Singapore, licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore, and Anchorage Digital New York, which holds a BitLicense. Customers span asset managers, ETF issuers, hedge funds, corporations, and governments.
Founded 2017 in San Francisco by Diogo Mónica and Nathan McCauley, both security engineers. Offices in San Francisco, New York, Porto, Singapore, and Sioux Falls. Backed by a16z, Apollo, Goldman Sachs, KKR, and Visa, with a $4.2B valuation.
