Tailscale is a Zero Trust identity based connectivity platform that the company positions as a replacement for legacy VPN, SASE, and PAM. It connects remote teams, multi cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, edge and IoT devices, and AI workloads.

The platform is built on WireGuard, which the company frames as WireGuard for enterprises.
