About

Foxglove is the multimodal data platform for robotics and autonomy. Teams capture and visualize data from their fleet, search across every log, and curate datasets to train their next model. The product covers visualization, which unifies live and recorded robot data so teams can debug, iterate, and validate changes faster; data management, which acts as one system of record for robot data through ingestion, indexing, and search; and fleet, which connects to robots anywhere for secure remote access and live data visualization.

The company states its mission is to provide today's engineers with the world class observability tooling they need to iterate on their robots and bring them to market faster. It was founded by Adrian Macneil, CEO, previously Director of Infrastructure at Cruise and Director of Engineering at Coinbase, and Roman Shtylman, CTO, previously a software engineer at Cruise and Coinbase, after the two became frustrated with the status quo in robotics development.

Foxglove maintains MCAP, a modular, performant, and serialization agnostic container file format useful for pub/sub and robotics applications. It also publishes the Foxglove SDK for logging and visualizing multimodal data, a Grafana datasource, and Python tooling for the data platform.
