Say you want a small, steady team rather than another startup racing its runway. Here is one that never raised a round, and is still around sixteen years later.

Prezly makes software for PR teams: newsrooms, media contact lists, the pitches that go out to journalists. It was founded in 2010, has an office in Leuven, Belgium, and its careers page describes it like this: "Prezly is a profitable, bootstrapped company fully owned by its founders." No investors to answer to. Over 500 PR teams use it, according to its own site.

It also happens to be a company people look up. "Prezly careers" is one of the searches that brings people to the Prezly page on Remoet, which is part of why we picked it for this spotlight. If you searched for it and landed here, hello.

What is open right now

On October 6, 2026 we had three open engineering roles on file for Prezly:

RoleLevelWhere from
Full-Stack Engineer (React/PHP)MidEurope, within about 2 hours of CET
TypeScript/React DeveloperMidWithin 2 hours of CET, Europe preferred
Senior PHP DeveloperSeniorWithin 3 hours of CET

The stack across the three is consistent: React and TypeScript on the front, PHP with Symfony on the back, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes on AWS. The TypeScript posting describes the split plainly: "Prezly is built using React/Typescript and everything in the app talks to API's that are managed by the backend/PHP team."

Three roles is small, but all three are engineering (and since they are on file with us, new ones will show up in the feed of anyone who stars Prezly).

"Free to live and work wherever they want"

Here is the detail worth reading twice. The careers page says: "The Prezly team is fully remote, spread across 15 different cities around the world," and "everyone at Prezly is free to live and work wherever they want."

The job posts say something narrower. From the TypeScript/React role: "While this is a fully remote role, we only accept candidates within a 2-hour time difference from CET (Central European Timezone), Europe-preferred."

Our reading is that both are true at once. People already on the team live wherever they like. New hires, for now, need to overlap with a European working day. Time zone overlap is a common reason small teams give for rules like this, though Prezly's posts do not say why. It is just worth knowing before you apply from Manila, because the careers page alone would not tell you.

(It is also the time zone version of something we keep seeing across the whole board: remote, but from somewhere specific. We counted that earlier this month in how few remote tech jobs will hire you from anywhere.)

The job post asks about your AI tools

This line is in the TypeScript/React posting, and it is unusually direct: "We're also strong believers in using AI-powered coding tools like Claude Code and Cursor - let us know if they're a part of your dev environment."

Not "experience with AI is a plus". They want to know what is in your editor. If you use one of these tools daily, that is something to say in your application rather than hide.

This is part of a wider shift. About a quarter of the hiring companies we track now name an AI coding tool somewhere in their job posts. We will have the full numbers in a couple of weeks.

The rest of the offer

From the same posting:

  • 35 paid days off

  • A home office budget, and your choice of equipment

  • Flexible working hours

And the salary line reads "Competitive salary", with no number. None of the three roles publish a band, so we cannot tell you what Prezly pays. (We have opinions about "competitive salary" as a phrase, which we wrote up in what tech job posts offer.)

35 days off is generous by most standards, US or European. If time matters more to you than a funding-round lottery ticket, a profitable company that has been around since 2010 is a different kind of bet than a startup that raised last quarter.

Who this is for

If you are a React/TypeScript or PHP developer in or near Europe, you like small teams, and you would rather work somewhere that is not burning through a funding round, Prezly is worth a look. If you are outside that time zone band, the posts are clear that it is not you, at least not this round.

You can see the open roles and the stack on Prezly's page on Remoet, and star it if you want its next roles to come to you.

What we could not find

Prezly does not publish a handbook, a pay range or a description of its interview process that we could find, so this spotlight is shorter than some. Everything above comes from Prezly's own careers page, its job posts and its about page, read on October 6, 2026. If you work at Prezly and something here is out of date, tell us in Discord and we will fix it.
